Things that make you go... OUCH!

I meant to post his in the previous post... this is the lovely bruise that I was left with as a souvenir from my Endoscopy last week...
This is where my IV was and wow does it hurt...and my throat is still sore and I am a bit concerned about that but it is better each day.
Thank you all for stopping by and looking through the glass at my life.   Have a great week!

FRAMED!!!!!

This is LizzieKate Halloween ABC's.  I had a COMPLETE BLAST... stitching this.  I made the mistake of getting this frame at the well known chain HL.  The color of the frame and style could NOT BE MORE PERFECT.  BUT... this frame was made wrong... they tred to over charge and change the total of the bid... I did all the lace work... I will NOT allow someone else to keep ahold of my piece.  THEN... after being at the sstore for well over 2 hours... I leave with it just framed... there was no glass even though I ordered glass... BUT the frame was not deep enough for there to be glass too.  I was DEVASTATED... but with me not working yet...  I just couldn't spend the extra on a better place to frame it.  I am so upset.  It still is  pretty... but I just wish it would have gone smoother.
Have a great night and keep crossing those stitches.

A finish for an exchange

I have not been doing much stitching the past few days... not been feeling the best.  I have seen some of the others post their finished exchanges for our Tiara club retreat that is next weekend.

I stitched peeping tom and finished him in an Altoid can... I have never done this before so it was an experience for me.  I hope my person likes it... it has a small scissor holder in the main part of the can with a small pin pillow... In the lid... I have some wool felt so that needles can be stored....I worked pretty hard at understanding the dynamics of this... Oh I hope that they like it.   How do you think it looks?  I don't want it to look bad for this exchange.

Thank you for stopping by to look have a great night.

Cincinnati Comic Expo

Saturday, I had so much fun ... my son and I attended the local comic convention... We had a blast... we looked through and bought comic books... we met the artists... was able to see just how creative people can be with their costumes.  We was in line before they opened and stayed into the evening and even wished we could afford to go again on Sunday.  They had announced that Stan Lee was going to be at the Columbus OH comic con next weekend... wow THAT would have made this day!  As a much younger person I was a comic book reader... so this just was so fun for me to turn back time in my memories.  A day spent with my son is always a good day.

Not much stitching done this weekend. Have a good Sunday.

All that's left is the beads...

Good evening all... i hope your holiday was a great one...  It rained all day here... and other than grocery shopping and fixing a large meal... we did not much of anything.

The new JCS Halloween special edition mag has some of the best designs. I had to start the monsters as soon as I could gather the supplies. I am starting he boy monster tomorrow.
This is BLUE MS. MONSTER by Mosey 'N Me.  It is in the Annual Halloween Issue JCS Sept /Oct 2012
The matching boy is in the Special Collector's Issue... Called Blue Mr Monster.  He is so adorable with his sockies.   I have the ms monster all completed but for the beads for her eyes and then the one pumpkin eye.  THEN...  I have to make them into ornaments for my Halloween tree... How fun!
Have a great evening... and thank you for stopping by.

Finishing another completed piece.

You know at 42 years of age... it never ceases to amaze me just how ugly human nature is. The past couple years there has been some pretty ugly people surrounding me... whatever the motivators are for people to look a person in the eye and still lie... and just be ugly they are not excusable.  I hear several blogs write about the days gone by and wanting life to slow down.  In my opinion we have traded a mans word... and general kindness for the fast passed life where we are constantly running... never home and living life with our FF button depressed.  We all need a slow down... and a time to just relax.  I sat last night thinking about the past few years and how hard they have been. There are some days that I could easily be a hermit and seclude to my house... connections with people and a tan are a bit over rated.

I showed you all pics of this completed stitch piece ... I decided to get the finish work done so that I can display it this Halloween.  This was a fun piece to stitch and even more fun to finish. This is the first time I have finished a triangle piece like this... but it was fairly easy to do... and I will probably do it over again. The bows on the side have the little black cat glass buttons that I fell in love with on the side. I have wooden balls on the bottom to life it up WHAT A GREAT PIECE! The fun I have had with this piece re-sparks how much fun stitching is for me...
THANK YOU TO BARBARA ANNA DESIGNS for creating this alleycat quartet piece.
Take care and keep crossing those stitches.

Sunday's projects... and a new start

Sunday was hot so I stayed in doors.  I made a large meal... and was able to clean and do laundry some too.
I completed the finish work on one of my Halloween pieces... it was almost finished so it just took a few minutes... and he was hanging on my halloween tree.  This is a Brittercup designs piece from the 2011 Halloween Ornament subscription mag.
Since I am for the most part finished with the LizzieKate piece... I still wanted to stitch something fall themed... so I pulled out one that a friend had given to me.
This is a Blackbird designs piece and I am loving it.   I didn't get to stitch as much as I would have liked to yesterday but did get some time... I attached a picture of my progress on this piece so far.

Not a lot to tell you about... just a blah day.
Take care and I hope your week is blessed.

All Season tree... and some finish work.

Happy Saturday!   I hope that this weekend has been a good one for you.
Friday I went to Hobby Lobby to get a low cost frame for the LizzieKate Halloween ABC's piece that I just finished.  I left with a frame and a small pine tree that I have wanted for a few years now to display some of my seasonal smalls.  I went ahead and started decorating it for Halloween.  I have attached a pic of this tree... I must get a longer extension cord fr it ... but it lights up so pretty.
Then when I went thru my finished stitching box... I found some old pieces that have the stitching completed and are patiently waitin me to finish and display them.  SO... that is what I did today... the finish work was so fast on these 2 and I think they turned out pretty cute.  Yes... I know... the date is embarassing... 2007!  Just busy and lost track of them being there.
No stitching today... just odd stuff.... and housework.  Hopefully later tonite... I will get to stitch.
Thank you for stopping by....   Have a great evening.

Part 1 ... Done! Part 2 updates...

It is a wonderful day here today... the sun is warm but the air has a crisp feel of fall sneaking up on us.  Our weather calls for temps in the 90's this weekend.

I did get to stitch last night late... and have a picture of my progress.   The LizzieKate Halloween Mystery project is a BLAST to stitch and I already can't wait to get it done and framed.  My goal is to have part 2 done by the end of the month so that when I go to the stitch night at Keepsakes in Ohio on the first Friday in September... I get get part 3 and get started in it right away!

I also just bought the new JCS Halloween special edition magazine ... and have SEVERAL smalls I want to stitch... So many to do ... so little time.

A Sunday Movie ... and the Mystery Update!

Today I spent the afternoon with my kids at the local theater.   We saw ParaNorman...   It was cute... I just love the stop animation... and claymation creations.... No one can top my bone man JACK though... he is the top man.  It is a cute film with a Salem witch trial theme... and I left wanting to stitch some Halloween. Designs.  It made for a fun afternoon.
The evening was spent with my precious grand daughter... but while she napped I did get to stitch some on the LizzieKate Mystery piece...  If you have not contacted you LNS to reserve this piece... please do...  this is a ton of fun to stitch.  The colors are just perfectly fall... and it has such a light fun feel to stitch.  I am so very very happy with the way this piece is looking.
As usual ... thank you for stopping by...  I will try to have more pics for you at a later time.
Take care,
Tracy

Tonight's Progress

Tonight I was able to stitch a bit... I was not feeling so good so I stayed up and was able to stitch.  I had a partner in crime seated with me as I was stitching.  She is such a great stitch buddy.  I worked on the LizzieKate Mystery piece and was able to almost complete part one... this made me happy.  I hope to get time to stitch tomorrow... while doing the laundry.
Here is my stitch at the end of the evening...

Thank you for stopping in... Have a great evening.  Daisy is tired now from all the help she was giving me... and says good night.

FINISHED!!!!!!!

I was able to place the last stitch in the Halloween. ABC's by Lizzie and Kate.  I used the fibers that the chart called for... and stitched this on a 28 count Dirty Linen fabric.  This piece was sooooo much fun!

I have added a few extra pics to show some changes I made in it.  I stitched the ghost, skeleton,  eyes, and the tombstones with glow in the dark floss.  I put eyes and a mouth on my lil witch... and then added my initials and the date in the bottom border... I think it turned out so nicely.

Thank you for stopping to look.   Have a blessed night.

BIRTHDAY FUN and Stash

Saturday... it was my 43rd birthday, and my daughter was born on my birthday so we celebrate this bond every year.

DH  had doughnuts for us for breakfast from a local bakery that makes all from scratch... and they have just ruined us for store bought or major chains they are not as good.

My DH chose for us this yummy birthday cake... chocolate cake with a chocolate chip icing....   It did NOT last long.   He grilled us some steak and fixed us a nice dinner... we had a good day!

The day before...  my post man brought me this lovely package... I was so tickled with the goodies... and the timing of their arrival.  Just in time for our birthday.

43 years old... it hasn't been that long ago that when I hear that age I thought... wow that seems sooooooo old.   NOW ... here I am and don't feel like 43 years have passed by... it seems lik yesterday I was in high school and now I have kids graduating from high school.  TIME FLIES by!

Thanks for stopping by... I will make another post showing what I worked on today...
Take care...
