Blizzard has hit!

This morning as I left for work ... There was ice hanging from the lines... And it was raining hard with ice on some of the surfaces.  Dh is off this week so he drove me in to work.   they allowed everyone to leave an hour early but it still took us well over an hour to get home(usually 20 mins door to door).  it is still snowing pretty hard... And it is SLICKERY everywhere.  Thought I would share a pic of todays weather.
Take care all... Thanks for stoping by...

Christmas Day... What I have been working on

Merry Christmas all!

For several months now I have been working on finishing as many as I could of my daughters completed pieces.  I was so excited to give her this box this morning and watch her open them.  I thought through each one trying to make them as special as I could... Biscornue, five, flat folds, stand up, a box, a cube(a square pumpkin), and ornaments.  I hope she likes how I completed each... She has done such a good job stitching them I wanted to honor her work.

Enjoy your holiday

All she needs is a good set of pearls

I stopped by petsmart to get the dogs their food... and found Daisy the PERFECT sweater.  and it was on SALE!
I am calling it her "Jackie O" Sweater.  I guess I am aging myself.  I use to watch the elegance of the former first lady and her impeccable wardrobe.   Well Daisy is far from that but a dog can dream!   She is our lil Daisy O now... (I guess that is short for Oooooo h. No!)  She is my girl... and she had to have it... and it is a very warm feeling sweater too... so I was very happy when it fit her perfectly.

Here she is my lil Daisy O in her new retro elegant pink and black sweater... And it has BLING on it too... couldn't be MORE perfect!

Take care all...

I have several left to finish... they are stitched just not assembled into ornaments. I started on theses Wednesday morning... and have been able to get a few completed.  I really would like to have all the older ornaments completed... so that I can fill my box with new ones.  These are ao fun to finish... I have had a blast.
I have another post to make too... I won some.very awesome charts... I have to get pictures of them... We had our Thanksgiving dinner today so I have been swamped with cooking and cleaning... and then turkey and sweets overload.

See... same markings!

Weekend updates

I have been working on a few christmas gifts so I have not been able to post as much as I would like.  I am posting from my phone so I am going to do a separate post for each...

This one... I was out this week and went to a local Krogers grocery to get a Starbucks coffee... There were people EVERYWHERE...  once in there we found out that Buddy the Cake Boss was there to promote the retail sales of his line of cakes.  I did not wait in line... did not get to speak to him... stood next to the body guard... wow he was big... like a silver back gorilla.   giggle.  Buddy is so much nicer looking in person... and has comfortable and friendly way to him.  I took a few pics... thought I would share...
