Sunday's projects... and a new start

Sunday was hot so I stayed in doors.  I made a large meal... and was able to clean and do laundry some too.
I completed the finish work on one of my Halloween pieces... it was almost finished so it just took a few minutes... and he was hanging on my halloween tree.  This is a Brittercup designs piece from the 2011 Halloween Ornament subscription mag.
Since I am for the most part finished with the LizzieKate piece... I still wanted to stitch something fall themed... so I pulled out one that a friend had given to me.
This is a Blackbird designs piece and I am loving it.   I didn't get to stitch as much as I would have liked to yesterday but did get some time... I attached a picture of my progress on this piece so far.

Not a lot to tell you about... just a blah day.
Take care and I hope your week is blessed.

All Season tree... and some finish work.

Happy Saturday!   I hope that this weekend has been a good one for you.
Friday I went to Hobby Lobby to get a low cost frame for the LizzieKate Halloween ABC's piece that I just finished.  I left with a frame and a small pine tree that I have wanted for a few years now to display some of my seasonal smalls.  I went ahead and started decorating it for Halloween.  I have attached a pic of this tree... I must get a longer extension cord fr it ... but it lights up so pretty.
Then when I went thru my finished stitching box... I found some old pieces that have the stitching completed and are patiently waitin me to finish and display them.  SO... that is what I did today... the finish work was so fast on these 2 and I think they turned out pretty cute.  Yes... I know... the date is embarassing... 2007!  Just busy and lost track of them being there.
No stitching today... just odd stuff.... and housework.  Hopefully later tonite... I will get to stitch.
Thank you for stopping by....   Have a great evening.

Part 1 ... Done! Part 2 updates...

It is a wonderful day here today... the sun is warm but the air has a crisp feel of fall sneaking up on us.  Our weather calls for temps in the 90's this weekend.

I did get to stitch last night late... and have a picture of my progress.   The LizzieKate Halloween Mystery project is a BLAST to stitch and I already can't wait to get it done and framed.  My goal is to have part 2 done by the end of the month so that when I go to the stitch night at Keepsakes in Ohio on the first Friday in September... I get get part 3 and get started in it right away!

I also just bought the new JCS Halloween special edition magazine ... and have SEVERAL smalls I want to stitch... So many to do ... so little time.

A Sunday Movie ... and the Mystery Update!

Today I spent the afternoon with my kids at the local theater.   We saw ParaNorman...   It was cute... I just love the stop animation... and claymation creations.... No one can top my bone man JACK though... he is the top man.  It is a cute film with a Salem witch trial theme... and I left wanting to stitch some Halloween. Designs.  It made for a fun afternoon.
The evening was spent with my precious grand daughter... but while she napped I did get to stitch some on the LizzieKate Mystery piece...  If you have not contacted you LNS to reserve this piece... please do...  this is a ton of fun to stitch.  The colors are just perfectly fall... and it has such a light fun feel to stitch.  I am so very very happy with the way this piece is looking.
As usual ... thank you for stopping by...  I will try to have more pics for you at a later time.
Take care,
Tracy

Tonight's Progress

Tonight I was able to stitch a bit... I was not feeling so good so I stayed up and was able to stitch.  I had a partner in crime seated with me as I was stitching.  She is such a great stitch buddy.  I worked on the LizzieKate Mystery piece and was able to almost complete part one... this made me happy.  I hope to get time to stitch tomorrow... while doing the laundry.
Here is my stitch at the end of the evening...

Thank you for stopping in... Have a great evening.  Daisy is tired now from all the help she was giving me... and says good night.

FINISHED!!!!!!!

I was able to place the last stitch in the Halloween. ABC's by Lizzie and Kate.  I used the fibers that the chart called for... and stitched this on a 28 count Dirty Linen fabric.  This piece was sooooo much fun!

I have added a few extra pics to show some changes I made in it.  I stitched the ghost, skeleton,  eyes, and the tombstones with glow in the dark floss.  I put eyes and a mouth on my lil witch... and then added my initials and the date in the bottom border... I think it turned out so nicely.

Thank you for stopping to look.   Have a blessed night.

My daughter had completed the voodoo guy pin cushion and has had him waiting to be finished.  Today I decided that I was going to work on finishing this piece.  I think he turned out nice... she now wants to stitch the voodoo girl.  They are not easy to finish but turn out cute.

I was so happy with how he turned out I wanted to show you too...

Have a great evening ... and thank you for stopping by to look ...

BIRTHDAY FUN and Stash

Saturday... it was my 43rd birthday, and my daughter was born on my birthday so we celebrate this bond every year.

DH  had doughnuts for us for breakfast from a local bakery that makes all from scratch... and they have just ruined us for store bought or major chains they are not as good.

My DH chose for us this yummy birthday cake... chocolate cake with a chocolate chip icing....   It did NOT last long.   He grilled us some steak and fixed us a nice dinner... we had a good day!

The day before...  my post man brought me this lovely package... I was so tickled with the goodies... and the timing of their arrival.  Just in time for our birthday.

43 years old... it hasn't been that long ago that when I hear that age I thought... wow that seems sooooooo old.   NOW ... here I am and don't feel like 43 years have passed by... it seems lik yesterday I was in high school and now I have kids graduating from high school.  TIME FLIES by!

Thanks for stopping by... I will make another post showing what I worked on today...
Take care...
